When something arrives from Donna I know that she has been working hard....again! She is unstoppable. We will be unable to attend the happy event but send our thanks for the work and hellos to all.

Hi Dave, Donna & Tom,
Unfortunately for me I have to cancel out of the upcoming luncheon. I absolutely love these gatherings. I will sincerely miss seeing everyone. Hopefully we will all be around for next year's gathering. Have a great time.

Dear Donna,
Unfortunately I suffered a stroke earlier this year. Although I've recovered remarkably well, I'm not yet at the point where I would be comfortable coming to the luncheon. However, please keep me on the list for next year.

Hello Donna,
Wanted to let you know that I will not be able to attend the September luncheon.
On the morning of January 25th, while getting ready for work, I passed out twice in my kitchen. In the process, I gashed my forehead - required 18 stitches - and broke two bones in my neck. I was in ICU for five days and then had to stay with my niece for two months before I could return home.
The neck is fine now. I do have pain most of the time but nothing that keeps me from functioning. Just a bit slower and can't lift anything over 20 pounds, and if I do, then I feel it in my neck ......... making the trip to Sacramento would be more that I should spend for a while. So, I have to pass on this one. But I will be there next time.

Sorry that we will not be able to attend the September 13 reunion luncheon, but there is a conflict with a Stanford football game. We do have some news to share, however: our oldest grandson, Christopher Longyear, has been admitted to Stanford and will be starting in September; and our 8th grandchild, Cooper Alan Longyear (note initials) was born 08/08/08! Best wishes to one and all in attendance, and we hope to join you next time.

I really enjoyed the luncheon on 9/13/08. It was nice to reconnect a bit.
